How does pickup and delivery work?


If a buyer chooses to have their item delivered, we’ll pick up/deliver the item on the date(s) the seller/buyer agreed to in our scheduling system.

Our delivery team will notify customers via text that they're on their way 15 - 45 minutes before arriving. At pickup, our delivery team will:

  • View the item for accuracy and authenticity to the listing

  • Ensure the measurements are correct

  • Inspect for cleanliness

  • Take photos to validate the condition of the item

  • Wrap and cover the item for delivery to its new home

  • If the delivery team notices a potential discrepancy with the item’s condition, they will reach out to the AptDeco team and buyer to gain approval for delivery.

Once the item is verified, our delivery team will perform any necessary disassembly, then wrap, cover, and deliver the item to the buyer.

If you are getting an item picked up or delivered through our white glove delivery partner, we expect the pickup and delivery to occur within 2-6 weeks of the order date. Once the order has been booked by our delivery partner, you will receive an email from us with a tracking link for the shipment along with the carrier's estimated timeframe and contact information. 

The carrier will reach out to you via phone call or text message to arrange a pickup/delivery date that works best for you. It's important to be responsive to these messages since carriers are typically running on a tight schedule. They typically reach out 24-48 hours prior to arriving in your area. You are also welcome to reach out to the carrier directly to inquire about their timeline or provide any instructions for pickup/delivery.
