Our messaging feature is designed to make buying and selling safe, easy, and trustworthy. It’s where buyers and sellers can ask questions, share details, and coordinate orders — all without needing to exchange personal contact information.
To keep this space safe and supportive, we may review messages to ensure they follow these guidelines and our Terms of Service. This helps us:
Protect users from harmful behavior like harassment, scams, or threats.
Enforce platform safety by detecting and responding to abusive or inappropriate content.
Resolve disputes or reported conversations fairly and quickly.
Prevent off-platform transactions, which can lead to fraud and remove important buyer and seller protections.
You can also help keep the messaging feature safe by using the built-in mark as spam to notify us of any suspicious or inappropriate behavior. We review flagged conversations and take appropriate action when needed.
2. Purpose of the Messaging Feature
The messaging tool is here to support clear, respectful communication between buyers and sellers about listings, questions, and orders. It’s not intended for unrelated conversations, harassment, or attempts to take transactions off the platform. Keeping conversations in-app helps protect you — including payment security, dispute resolution, and customer support — and ensures we can step in if something goes wrong.
3. Keep Conversations Respectful and Relevant
To maintain a positive and safe experience for everyone, please follow these basic principles when using the messaging feature:
Be polite, courteous, and respectful in all communications.
Keep conversations focused on the listing, product questions, or order details.
Avoid sharing personal contact information or moving conversations off-platform.
Respond clearly and promptly to support smooth transactions.
4. Zero Tolerance for Abuse
We have zero tolerance for harmful or inappropriate behavior in messages. This includes, but is not limited to:
Harassment, threats, or bullying: Any intimidating, insulting, or targeted behavior.
Hate speech or discrimination: Offensive language targeting someone’s identity or background.
Fraud, scams, or off-platform solicitation: Attempts to bypass the platform or request payment elsewhere.
Abusive or offensive language: Profanity, insults, or vulgar messages directed at others.
Spamming or irrelevant content: Repeated, unsolicited, or disruptive messages.
5. Our Right to Enforce These Guidelines
To protect the integrity of our marketplace and the safety of our users, we reserve the right to:
Review messages (especially those flagged or reported) for violations of these guidelines or our Terms of Service.
Issue warnings for inappropriate behavior.
Limit or suspend messaging access temporarily if violations occur.
Permanently block users from messaging — with or without prior notice.
We may also remove specific messages or restrict access to other parts of the platform if necessary to keep our community safe and functioning properly.
6. Reporting Abuse
If you encounter messages that violate these guidelines — whether it’s harassment, spam, scams, or anything that makes you feel unsafe — please use the “Report” or “Flag” feature directly within the conversation. Our team reviews all reports promptly and takes appropriate action to protect our community.
